Roxas Boulevard
Roxas Boulevard, formerly known as Dewey Boulevard, is a road in Metro Manila. It is an 8-lane arterial road and connects the centre of Manila with Pasay City, Parañaque City, and the province of Cavite. Named after former president Manuel Roxas, it is one of the major arteries in the city’s metropolitan network, designated Radial Road 1. It runs parallel to Manila Bay and is well-known for its sunsets.
The boulevard, as a result, has become a trademark of Philippine tourism, famed for the yacht clubs, hotels and fine dining which lie on the eastern side of the road. It runs in a north-south direction from Luneta in Manila and ends in Parañaque City, at an intersection leading west to the new development of Asia World City, built on land reclaimed from Manila Bay, and leading east to Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
